Not sure if it poor shipping, or a poor quality server build

When this server arrived one of the the CPU brackets on the #2 CPU was "missing". I searched the case and found the plastic bracket and 1 of the 2 screws. I have not been able to locate a 2nd screw. I hope it is not hiding somewhere that I can not see -- just to 'get me' later. A screw driver, a spare screw and 2 minutes to fix the problem.Also watch when you buy this server. The HP Specifications for this server say "Hot plug 2.5-inch SAS; Hot plug 2.5-inch SATA; Hot plug 3.5-inch SAS; Hot plug 3.5-inch SATA" which would seem to indicate that it is ready for any of these drives. The server I had delivered only had a cage for 2.5 drives (count: 8). I had already ordered 3.5 drives (because my other servers all have 3.5 drives). Of course you can order a new 3.5 cage, if you want to use 3.5 drives. I decided to go ahead and use the 2.5 drives as I have read that it reduces the heat and the power consumption of the server--we shall see.This unit only comes with 6GB (3 x 2GB) of RAM. That may work for you, depending on your requirements. Otherwise these HP ML 350 units are great. You can easily expand as needed. You can add a 2nd Xeon CPU. Each CPU has 9 memory slots. Plenty of run for expansion.
